Ok, being as I have just been informed that over 70% of my friends do NOT falll into the category of people who would vote for our present government again, but being as I'm SURE I respect the opinion of mre than 70% of my friends ... lets conduct a bit of a rational poll. Those of you who would relelect our present leadership, tell me WHY. Likewise, those of you who would not, say why. Hey, news flash ... I honestly don't know next time ... SO ... convince me. Really. Convince me. give me either a reason to re-elect out present executive or a reason to go the other way. I mean a solid, provable, reason either way ... so if you are just going to regurgitate Beck or Obermann then you can sve your breath.

  1. To be honest, I'm not voting next time. This dude doesn't seem to be much different and I haven't seen any change that I believe in!

  2. Look who's been blogging! I did not know!

... To tell you the truth, I am undecided and disheartened with the coming election. I was an officer in a UH organization my senior year that helped elect Obama. We even registered voters on campus, and helped coordinate a drive to get students to the polls. That said, I don't think I'm the only one who is disappointed.

The Wall Street bailout was a catastrophy. I can't believe we gave them all that money and put no systems in place to keep track of how it was put to use. Some people were made very rich. Everyone is in bed with everybody. Nothing is clean anymore. Can't trust anything. Then look at what's going on with our food industry, and the FDA makes me sick.

I support the health care changes, but they are supposed to take place so long from now, that depending on whom is elected next, that progress could definitely be reversed.

I wish someone would come out and say they support legalization of marijuana. At least Obama stopped the federal govt. from fucking with CA in that respect. CA is voting on it in November.

I fear that this next election is going to come down to a lesser of two evils, even though the more time that passes and the more that I see I can't help remembering a line from Waking Life, though it's been a long time since I've seen it: "They're two sides of the same coin vying for control of slavery incorporated." I wish it weren't so.
